1. General Policy

At Phool Dhaaga, we aim to provide you with authentic, high-quality handloom sarees and a hassle-free shopping experience. If you are not satisfied with your saree purchase, you may be eligible for a return, exchange, or refund under the conditions mentioned below.

Important: This return and refund policy is in addition to, and does not limit, your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and other applicable laws in India.


2. Cancellation Policy

2.1 Order Cancellation

•       Cancellations for online prepaid orders may be accepted only if the order has not yet been packed and dispatched.

•       Once the order is dispatched, it cannot be cancelled and will be governed by the return and refund policy instead.

2.2 How to Cancel

Cancellations can be initiated via:

•       Your account dashboard, or

•       Email to team@phooldhaaga.com or WhatsApp to +91 7838 528204 with your order number.


3. Return Window

•       We accept returns within 7 days from the date of delivery.

•       Return requests must be raised within this period.

•       After this period, returns will not be accepted except in cases of proven manufacturing defects as per the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.


4. Eligibility for Returns

A saree is eligible for return or refund only if:

•       It is unused, unwashed, and in its original condition.

•       The saree is free from stains, odor, or any alterations (stitching, tassels, etc.).

•       All original packaging, labels, tags, and freebies (if any) are intact and returned with the product.

4.1 Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns for:

•       Sarees that have been washed, worn, or altered.

•       Sarees with stains, body odor, or noticeable usage marks.

•       Sarees personalized or custom-made as per customer request.

Note: Non-returnable status does not apply to defective, wrong, or significantly mis-described products, which are always eligible for return or refund under Indian law.


5. Reasons for Return and Refund

You may raise a return request for:

•       Damaged or defective product – fabric tear, major print defect, broken zari, manufacturing fault, etc. Please share clear photos within 48 hours of delivery.

•       Wrong product delivered – different saree, color, or size than ordered.

•       Significant difference from product description or images on the website – major color mismatch, wrong fabric type, or misleading representation.

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, for defective or mis-described products are not affected by this clause.


 6. How to Initiate a Return

To start a return:

1.      Log in to your account and go to “My Orders”, then select the saree and choose “Return/Refund”.

2.     Or, email team@phooldhaaga with:

•       Product name and image

•       Reason for return

•       Clear photos of the saree and any defect (if applicable)

•       Order number

6.1 Review Process

•       Our team will review your request within 2-3 working days.

•       If approved, you will receive:

–      A Return Authorization ID

–      Return instructions (pickup or self-ship, depending on your logistics model)


7. Return Shipping

•       For defective, wrong, or mis-described items, we will bear the return shipping cost or arrange pickup at your location (if serviceable in your pin code).

•       Sarees must be packed securely (preferably in original packaging) when returning. We are not liable for damage during transit if packaged improperly.


8. Refund Process

8.1 Refund Amount

Refunds are issued only after we receive and inspect the returned saree and confirm that it meets our return conditions.

Refund amount will be:

•       Full amount for defective, wrong, or significantly mis-described items.

8.2 Refund Timeline

Refund will be processed:

•       To the original payment method (bank/UPI/credit card/debit card) within 5-7 working days after the saree reaches our warehouse and is inspected.

The time taken for the refund to reflect in your account depends on your bank or payment gateway and may take an additional 3-5 business days.

9. Consumer Protection and Legal Compliance

Our return and refund policy is aligned with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, which require clear, transparent, and fair return and refund terms for online shoppers.

9.1 Your Statutory Rights

•       This policy does not override or limit your statutory rights under Indian law.

•       You have the right to receive goods that match the description, are of satisfactory quality, and are fit for purpose.

•       If we fail to honor this policy as advertised, or if you believe your consumer rights have been violated, you have the right to approach the appropriate consumer forum or authority under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

If you are not satisfied with our decision on your return or refund request, or if you have any complaints regarding our services, you may escalate your grievance to our Grievance Contact Details.

We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within 1 month from the date of receipt, as per the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.

11. Policy Changes

We reserve the right to update or modify this return and refund policy from time to time to reflect changes in our business practices or legal requirements. The latest version will always be available on our website under “Return & Refund Policy” with the updated effective date.

Continued use of our services after any modifications implies acceptance of the updated terms.

•       This policy applies to all purchases made through our e-commerce platform at www.phooldhaaga.com.

•       Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.

•       By placing an order on our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this return and refund policy.

•       For handloom sarees, minor variations in color, texture, and weave are natural characteristics and are not considered defects.

•       Color differences between the product images on our website and the actual product may occur due to screen settings and lighting conditions. Minor color variations (within reasonable limits) are not grounds for return unless the difference is significant and materially affects the product quality.
